Working material often lives in Google's cloud: a keyword sheet in Google Sheets, a content brief in Google Docs, a site export as a PDF. Discussing such a file with the assistant used to mean downloading it first, then uploading it to chat all over again.
The Google Drive integration removes that detour in both directions: a file is picked straight from the cloud into the conversation, and finished work saves back to Drive as a real Google Doc.
What it is
Google Drive is Google's cloud storage, where most teams keep their working documents. Once connected, the chat's attach menu gains a "Choose from Google Drive" option that opens Google's own file picker — the same window other Drive-aware apps use.
Access is deliberately narrow, and this is the main difference from the Yandex Disk integration: Seyka requests the drive.file permission, under which the assistant only ever sees files you explicitly picked plus files it created itself. The rest of your Drive is never granted by Google in the first place. You can disconnect in one click on the integrations page.
How Seyka uses it
The picked file is imported as a regular attachment and the assistant works with it exactly like a local upload — analyzing a keyword sheet, checking a brief against a finished text. The copy lands in your uploads library, so later edits to the original never break an analysis you already ran.
Native Google formats cannot be downloaded as ordinary documents, so they are converted on the way in: Docs arrive as Markdown, Sheets as XLSX, Slides as PDF. Everything else imports as-is — PDF, CSV, XLS/XLSX, HTML, Markdown and plain-text files up to 10 MB.
The reverse path runs from the Documents section: every document's action menu offers "Save to Google Drive", which creates a real Google Doc — headings, lists and tables intact — ready to open, edit and share by link.
When it helps
When your keyword sheets, content plans and reports live in Google Sheets and Docs and opening them from the cloud beats hunting for local copies. When a colleague shares a file in a folder you both have. And when the output is not just for you: a brief for a writer or an audit for a client travels better as a link to a Google Doc others can comment on than as an attachment.
