YandexGPT is Yandex's family of language models, now developed under the consumer brand "Alice AI" after the October 2025 rebrand. The names describe two layers of one product: Alice AI is the assistant people use, while YandexGPT is the engine underneath. The same technology answers in Alice, produces the AI answers in Yandex Search, and is available to developers through Yandex Cloud AI Studio.
What it is
YandexGPT is trained with Russian as its first priority, so it reasons about the Russian web from inside Yandex's own ecosystem. The mid-2026 generation, YandexGPT 5.1 Pro, reaches GPT-4.1 level in blind pairwise comparisons and halves the hallucination rate of the previous generation, with a reasoning mode and a 128k-token context. A lighter YandexGPT 5 Lite Instruct ships with open weights on Hugging Face.
What you get
Connecting YandexGPT will give Seyka a model whose strengths line up with the Russian market most of its users work in. The same stack generates Yandex's in-search AI answers (Neuro), so it is a natural fit for reasoning about generative engine optimization — getting cited by those answers, not just ranked in the classic results. Because the model runs in Yandex Cloud, data stays in Russian infrastructure, which matters for data-residency requirements.
